Pride for Camarillo 2023

Rise and Shine! Camarillo’s second annual Pride for Camarillo festival is coming up in June and we at are planning to partake. In a time where members of the LGBTQIA+ community are quite literally being persecuted in our country, we at Liminal choose to stand with God’s children with loving and affirming support. We will not be preaching, but instead simply offering up community and information about Liminal if they wish for it. We are currently looking for volunteers to help…

Nurturer’s Day

We all have people in our lives who have nurtured us in some way. This may be a parent or it may be someone unrelated to us. And we ourselves have likely nurtured people in our lives, whether they were related to us or not. Instead of celebrating Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, we’d like to celebrate what we’re calling Nurturer’s Day, and say “Thank you!” to everyone in Liminal who has nurtured the people around them. On Sunday, June…

This is also the realm of Biblical Poetry, where word pictures often re-state or seek to express “what’s really going on” in artful verse throughout the Scriptures in sometimes beautiful, sometimes stark – frequently murky- poetic language. Come learn, or re-investigate, the essentials of…

Community Check-In

On Sunday, May 21st, in place of our typical morning service, we’re going to be holding a Community Check-In instead. Basically, a Town Hall meeting. This will be an opportunity to talk with each other about this unique little place called Liminal. The Leadership Team will share briefly, and then answer pre-submitted questions (ask your question here), and then open the floor for live questions. This will be happening at 10:30am (again, no music, sermon, etc). We’ll have lunch together afterward. We’ll…

Game N Grub

On Sunday, May 7th, stick around after the service for some lunch (sandwiches — donations appreciated to cover their cost *if* you can swing it) and games at our first “Game N Grub”. We’re hoping to do these regularly, but we don’t have the schedule sorted out just yet. We’ll have super nerdy games and more accessible and noob-friendly games, and party/silly games. Or if you don’t want to play games that’s cool too, just hang out! 🎲🎲🎲

REGENERATE: Scripture Studies in Pursuit of Jesus

This study is designed for challenging yet rewarding mutual discovery – perhaps re-discovery – of the Bible in a setting where we take a “beginner’s mind” approach to the continuing relevance of its words, stories, and themes. This is an excellent place to dabble or go as deep as you wish in a group committed to openness and curiosity. We’ll discuss its history, teachings, and meaning from cover to cover. At the center and throughout is an ongoing look at…

Black History Month Movie Discussion
