Hi! I’m Jen Hermann, and I’m so honored to be the Children’s Ministry Director and part of the Liminal Leadership Team. I’ve been married to James for a bunch of years, and we have three kids who are all grown up now. I’m a California girl who took a few years’ detour in the Midwest.
I’m a seeker and a questioner, a skeptic and a dreamer. I believe that God has something bigger and better and deeper and wilder in the works. I prefer mystery and wonder to certainty, the unknown to the sure. I’ve been challenged, provoked, and ultimately rescued by the stories and lives of people who have been marginalized and side-lined. I’m striving to learn how to be more Jesus-y and less churchy.
And, so, I’m glad to be a part of a church that allows me to explore these things, that provokes me, that is willing to take on the big questions and the tricky subjects. When life is messy and unpredictable (and when is it not?), I’m glad to be part of a community that can stand alongside me and embrace the uncomfortable.
