Group Description:
This small group focuses on America’s history of race and racism. This is a 10-part film and readings-based dialogue series, grounded in faith.
This curriculum was created by The Episcopal Church to address racial healing, reconciliation, and justice in our personal lives and our communities. This series is open to all, and especially designed to help individuals from mainstream culture broaden their understanding on this topic. Safe small group dialogues help us to peel away the layers that have contributed to the challenges and divides of the present day, while staying grounded in the call to faith, hope and love.
This group is co-led by Margie Harper, Michael Johnston, and Ginny Ericson, a licensed marriage and family therapist of 16 years, a trained facilitator of Sacred Ground, and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church of Ojai.
This group meets twice a month on Monday evenings, from 7pm – 8:30pm, and will finish by mid-June.
For more information, or to register, please contact Margie Harper via phone (call or text): (805) 701-0795, or via email: marjorie.harper@gmail.com.
