Important Update:
[9.24.26] You might remember an announcement several months ago that Kelsey Owen, our long time youth director, had moved out of the area and would be stepping down from the position at the end of the summer. Well, looky there, the calendar pages have flipped and here we are in September and Kelsey has blended her last blend. We are so thankful for all the love and care she has poured into Liminal and the youth these last five years. She has been a treasure.
We’ve also been blessed with volunteers who have given so much. Some who have been serving the youth for a long time (we’re looking at you, Trevor!) and others who have enthusiastically jumped in to help a bit more recently (Andy! Becky! and more!) Thanks for all you are doing!
So, now we are at a transition point. As our search for a permanent youth director continues there will be some changes to our current youth program. We will be focusing on our mid-week Blendsdays. The mid-week time seems better suited for the kids and volunteers alike, providing a casual time for community building, learning, and fun engagement.
Currently, Middle School and High School youth are invited to join with the adults in our Sunday service — we will not, at this time, have a separate group or activity for youth to go to during our Sunday gatherings. As we at Liminal continue to explore opportunities to share and interact during our gatherings, hopefully we will be able to learn and grow together. We have much to learn from each other.
