Hi, I’m Carole, the small groups facilitator. I love being a part of Liminal Church. I appreciate that we all come from different places with different backgrounds and perspectives, and yet we all find ourselves here at Liminal pursuing our faith in new, deeper, and expanding ways. I’m a native Californian, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. Yes, I am a “valley girl.” When I moved to Santa Barbara in the mid-80s, I was introduced to the Vineyard movement, which became the beginning of my faith journey. After living in Santa Barbara, I moved to Bakersfield and continued with the Vineyard Church. My time with the Vineyard will always be a significant part of my life’s journey. After moving to Ventura several years ago, I found myself wanting a change, wanting a new way to experience God, the Divine. It took some time, but I’m extremely happy that I “stumbled” into Liminal. Now, serving as the small groups facilitator, I hope to foster strong connections and help build community in our small groups. My husband and I have five adult children who are spread throughout the country. During the day, I’m a teacher with a charter school. I very much enjoy listening to music, seeing interesting films, drinking well-brewed coffee, moving about in the outdoors, visiting interesting museums, learning about historical architecture, and spending time with good friends over a delightful meal.
