Hello. My name is Kevin, and I am thrilled to serve as the Small Groups Facilitator here at Liminal Church of Ventura. Along with my life partner, my wife of 34 years, Laura, we consider Liminal to be quite unique in its yearning to explore Jesus with honesty, insight and curiosity. It is a place where all are welcome and authentic discussions about our life and times, the mystery of faith, and just about anything, including the controversial, are seen as developing great soil for growing in the infinite love of God in our lives.
Laura and I have lived in Ventura County for 30 years. I spent my childhood and teen years in Colorado Springs, Seattle and West Los Angeles. I worked for 25 years in criminal pretrial release investigation for the courts in Santa Barbara, and also facilitated seminars for management and line-staff for Santa Barbara County, in such topics as conflict resolution, time management and stress management, for 17 years. For the past 16 years, I have been the full-time, primary caretaker for our adult daughter, who struggles with severe neurological and cognitive disabilities. We also have a daughter and son-in-law who live and work in Manhattan, as well as a son who attends college in Santa Barbara. Laura has been a physical therapist for 28 years, working full-time with a local hospital.
I love to read, write, draw, play guitar, listen to music, cook and cycle. I am also passionate about science and discovery, and feel extremely grateful to live in a time when advancements offer the ability to understand our world and universe like never before.
