This year, Liminal will be participating in the Community Christmas Shoppe, which is powered by Ventura Community Christmas Shoppe. Have you heard of it? VCCS partners with local social service agencies to help provide Christmas presents for families who might be unable to afford them. Community Christmas Shoppe is set up like a holiday gift boutique where guests come to pick out toys, games, clothes, and other gifts in a fun atmosphere that includes things like childcare, photos with Santa, and entertainment, all at no cost.
Here is how we get to be a part of this! Bring new, unwrapped toys and gifts to church over the next few Sundays and place them in the collection box in the lobby. Not sure what to get? Use the handout of gift suggestions at the Connection Counter, or check out this Amazon Wishlist! Or, perhaps you’d like to get a little more hands-on? Volunteer directly with VCCS to work at one of the six locations in Ventura County on December 14th.
Liminal is excited to partner with Ventura Community Christmas Shoppe in this endeavor. Their website states, “Community Christmas Shoppe is a fun and festive event for the whole family, but the true mission is to provide families with a community of support that will outlast the holiday season.” Merry Christmas, indeed!
