Sometimes, “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” don’t express the reality of life. In fact, there are times when “merry” and “happy” seem impossible to even imagine. We have a tradition at Liminal Church of taking time to recognize that, amidst the feasting and present unwrapping, there are those whose hearts are heavy. Blue Christmas is a time when we can pause, and offer a safe space to process those harder things. It is a time when we can come together as a community, and weep with those who weep. We have found this to be a very meaningful time both for those in need of comfort, and for those who are able to give it. After all, that’s what a community does. Join us for this meaningful evening of song, scripture, stories and candle lighting – December 4, at 5:00pm. There will be light refreshments following the service.
Childcare will be available.
