The Liminal Church of Ventura community has been involved with Guatemala for some time. In the last 6 years, we have focused mostly on Machaquilá at an orphanage called Ahicam, where there are 30 children currently living. This Christmas, we want to do something special for these kids. We’re asking you, as members of the Liminal Church of Ventura, to give what you can. Our goal is to raise $30/child, which is $900. Though our goal is $30/child, if you can’t give $30 but can give $5, or $10, or $20, that’s wonderful too and we’re so thankful for your generosity.

100% of the donations we receive will go directly to the kids at Ahicam — the Liminal Church of Ventura is not keeping any of it.
Once we send the money to Ahicam, they will use it to buy gifts for each child, and they’ll purchase those gifts locally, thereby injecting some funds into the local economy.
The deadline to donate is December 20th, to allow time for them to receive the money and purchase the gifts before Christmas Day.
If you’d rather give via check, you can do that as well. Simply mail your check to:

Please be sure to write “Guatemala Christmas Drive” on the memo line of your check.
Some information about Ahicam:
Since August 2009, the Ahicam House Home for Children and Adolescents Association (My brother rose, in Hebrew) has been in operation, which provides shelter for children and adolescents in situations of abandonment or abuse, ages 1 to 18.
Ahicam is committed to sharing the love of Christ with children who have been abandoned or displaced because of violence. Ahicam provides a safe environment for children to grow in the Lord and break the cycle of violence and poverty!
Even if you are unable to give financially, please be in prayer for the children and staff of Ahicam Children’s Home.
