Bob Harper

Hi, my name is Bob Harper. I was the lead pastor here at the Liminal Church of Ventura for many years. Welcome to our website and welcome to our church. There are lots of things I would love to tell you if we were face to face and many things I hope you will experience if you visit. We believe in the Bible and seek to know and apply it to our lives. We enjoy worship and believe that we actually encounter the living God when we worship him. We believe the church is unlike any other organization because it exists for the benefit of those who don’t already belong to it. I could go on, but there is one thing in particular that I want you to know about the Liminal Church of Ventura which I believe sets us apart: We are an accepting community without compromise. That means you are welcome here, no matter what. It isn’t our job to judge you or point out your flaws, real or perceived. We are all making our way to a more authentic relationship with God and we want to encourage, comfort, and motivate you in that same direction. That also means that we hold ourselves to a standard. And that standard is we want to know God authentically and are devoted in our pursuit of Him.
